Maggie is a homeschool mom of three children with extremely different personalities and whose ages range from elementary to high school. Homeschooling across the ages, which includes different learning styles, has become second nature to her. Maggie earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Western Governors University and is the co-founder of the Homeschoolers of Bealeton support group. Maggie and her husband live in Fauquier County with their children and 2 dogs and enjoy experiencing learning through field trips.

Everyone loves a field trip, a break in the routine, or something new and exciting. But how do you incorporate into it a wide span of ages and/or cost effectiveness? We will go over what will meet the needs of diverse age groups in one field trip, field trips that benefit certain ages so families can make better choices for their family, and field trip budgeting. The hands-on learning and visual stimulation provided by field trip activities are positive additions to the learning environment
