Sarah is the mother of four children, ages 9 to 26. Her work developing innovative, research-based educational programs began during her college years and has continued throughout her 20 years as a home educator. She has served numerous youth organizations and initiated several successful co-ops in Central Virginia. Sarah is a frequent contributor to VaHomeschoolers Voice magazine.
Helping a Teen with Challenges Prepare for Life After Homeschool
Saturday, Session 3, 1:15–2:15 p.m.
Parents of adolescents with special challenges–you are not alone. Attend this parent-to-parent session to meet others who understand your challenges and are eager to find, and share, solutions. Sarah, an experienced homeschooling parent of special needs youth, will serve as a facilitator, opening the session and helping the group identify the topics that they would like to cover. Her goal is for each participant to leave the session encouraged and inspired to support their teen effectively.
