Catina Sweedy has over 20 years of experience as a professional musician and teacher and is in demand as a private teacher, clinician, and adjudicator. She is the founder and director of the George Mason University Summer Clarinet Academy, The Clarinet Project channel on YouTube, and the Sweedy Studio of Music. In addition, Catina has been actively involved in the homeschool community: setting up classes, organizing field trips, and teaching at co-ops, as well as working with her own children. Her past speaking engagements include the VaHomeschoolers conference, MineFaire, and George Mason University. She is a Mojang-certified Minecraft educator and a volunteer with the Alliance for Self Directed Education. Catina lives in Woodbridge with her husband, two children, and a menagerie of rescued animals.
