Stephanie Elms

Stephanie Elms never intended to homeschool, but can see now that she fell into it naturally as an extension of the relationship-based parenting approach to which she was drawn. She particularly enjoys encouraging homeschoolers as they learn to trust the process with their children, as well as themselves, recognizing that in homeschooling there are no “right” approaches, just options to try. Stephanie has been a homeschooling advocate for 16 years and was a longtime member of the VaHomeschoolers board of directors and regular contributor to VaHomeschoolers Voice magazine. She recently started working as a homeschool coach for The Homeschool Alliance. Stephanie has two always-been-homeschooled boys, ages 20 and 17, and is seriously enjoying the young adult years. You can read her musings on her personal blog, throwingmarshmallows.com.
